SDSU Police

  • Parked Bikes
SDSU Police offers free bicycle registration to our campus community.  Come by our open front desk hours with your bicycle and we will take all the necessary information and provide you a registration sticker and a free U-lock while supplies last.  The benefit in doing so, is to help police should your bike be recovered from theft.  Please bike responsibly only on bike paths and curbed roadways when on campus.  Bikes not locked to bike racks may be impounded at your expense.
  • fingers being live scanned on device
Effective Monday, May 16th we will no longer be providing Live Scan Services.  You may find an alternate location by visiting the Department of Justice.
  • alert, lockdown, inform, counter, escape text
ALiCE training is provided to assist SDSU faculty, staff and students in making the best possible decisions in the event of an active shooter or a violent intruder event.  Evaluation of sheltering in place may not be the best response, and this protocol is designed to offer additional guidance.  Contact our Community Resource Officer for more information or to schedule a training for your group or department.
  • crime prevention through environmental design text
Crime prevention through environmental design is a strategy that looks at ways to deter crime.  This can be done through access control, barriers, lighting and landscape designs.  We understand our campus is an urban environment where crimes of opportunity happen.  We are happy to meet with departments faculty and staff to look at ways crime can be decreased. Contact our Community Resource Officer for more information.
  • crowd at a men's basketball game
There are many events that occur throughout campus on a daily basis.  Parking & Support Services provides services to help assist in making  your event successful.  We understand the importance of building on excellence on all levels.  If you are planning an event, we can give you parking information, traffic control and assist with staffing when necessary. Contact our Administrative Analyst/Specialist for more information.
  • students walking on Campanile Mall
Personal safety is important for you to have a wonderful experience at SDSU.  Simple things such as not leaving your cell phones, computers and backpacks unattended can help in ensuring you are not a victim.  SDSU Police offer many opportunities for training for alcohol awareness, sexual assault prevention, personal safety and theft awareness training.  Don't be a victim. Contact our Community Resource Officer for more information.
