Parking ServicesThe Parking Services Office is staffed by two full time staff members and student assistants. Parking Services is responsible for managing the issuance of, and replacement of parking permits, the sale of parking permits, the citation appeal process, citation payments, defensive driving, vanpool, voyager gas cards, and the DMV pull program. We have seven full-time parking officers who work varied shifts and patrol the campus on foot, by bike, or by vehicle. They issue parking citations for vehicles in violation of university parking rules and regulations and the California Vehicle Code. Parking officers also provide pedestrian and vehicle traffic control, serve as extra eyes and ears for the police department, provide general information to the public, provide V.I.P. signage, and assist in maintaining pay permit machines. Parking Services has a cashier on the premises to assist you with permit purchases, citation payments, late or lost key payments, police report fees, and Live Scan fees. Online permit sales and payroll deduction permits fall under the preview of Student Account Services. Authority Issuance of parking citations by Parking Services is granted to our agency through the California Vehicle Code (CVC) 21113(a) and the California Code of Regulations. Our citations are legal and if not paid will result in your vehicle being booted, towed or placing a hold on your vehicle registration. The CVC authorizes us to make our own regulations in conjunction with the requirements of the Code of Regulations. This pertains to all who park at SDSU with or without a DMV placard.
