Volunteers

Volunteers

Volunteers are over the age of 18 that donate their time and expertise as ambassadors of the University Police Department. Volunteers perform a variety of tasks, and work closely with both the campus community and the police department.

In addition to providing an extra set of “eyes and ears” to the Department, volunteers are active within the community. Volunteers assist police officers as needed provide community services such as crime prevention tips, bike registrations, special detail assistance and general visitor information. They may help with clerical duties, front desk assignments and special projects.

Volunteers are assisting with crime prevention events, community functions, unplanned emergencies and are recognized as a valuable resource to the police department.

**Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are not accepting new volunteers at this time**
