Effective Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the University Police Department (UPD) front lobby is now open to the public from Monday to Thursday, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., except for the lunch hour from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. During this time, visitors can access various police services and seek assistance from the department.

This Timely Warning Bulletin is being issued in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act. The purpose is to provide preventative information to the campus community to aid members from becoming the victim of a crime.

I join his family in their call for justice and acknowledge that the involved officers have discredited themselves and the law enforcement profession.

Campus community members also play an important role in ensuring a safe campus environment.

In California, law enforcement officials have seen a rise in catalytic converter theft. A catalytic converter is part of a vehicle’s exhaust system to help filter vehicle pollution. Such devices are targeted because they contain valuable metals.
